It’s been a rough three weeks. For most of us, that's probably an understatement. It has been a horrifying three weeks that have probably shaken your faith in humanity.
How have we gotten to this point? How has a man known for simply debating with people been murdered, viciously lied about, and mocked in his death the way we have seen with Charlie Kirk? How are we living in times where one does not have to look far to see ghouls by the droves celebrating his murder with such exuberance?
Did you think that you were as hated as you now know you clearly are? I’m not saying anything new here, but think about it; if they celebrate the murder of a civilly composed, non-fringe, mainstream, Christian, gentleman, like Charlie Kirk, how would they like to treat you who prays for the souls of the unborn and their mothers outside of the abortion clinic? Furthermore, how far does it escalate from here?
Like everyone else, I have been doing a lot of thinking and soul searching since Kirk’s murder. We all have a different perspective from where we respectively sit and process these events. When we share our conclusions about them, we can collaborate together and make them useful. In the spirit of a man who clearly enjoyed a good conversation, I would like to engage in that sort of dialogue with whomever reads this article.
Today I would like to collaborate on what to do next, though not specifically about what we should do now for ourselves, but rather for other Americans who truly need help at this time. This country is clearly hurting, and if we earnestly contemplate the way of Christ our Savior, I think it’s fair to say that we have an obligation to try our hands at some healing. Lofty for sure, but it is what we are called to do as Christians.
In all the strife of this moment, there is Good News (Gospel) for us to share with a variety of broken Americans right now. People we get along with that are in need of encouragement, people on the fence who are now ripe for that extra nudge toward goodness and truth, and even those who hate us, but whom we are nevertheless called to love.
Oh, won’t someone think of the children!?
Let’s get the tough part out of the way. Christ calls us to pray for the repentance and conversion of Charlie Kirk’s killer. Hard stop. Jesus forgave those who crucified him. John Paul II forgave the man who shot him. I sincerely believe Charlie Kirk would forgive the boy who took his life. His wife did. I would like to aspire to be righteous enough to care about the repentance of the child who threw his life away over a mixed up desire to play “hero” to a group of “furries” he met on video gaming chats. Yes, let’s be different than those who hate us.
I know this killer’s generation well. I have been a professional educator for nearly 20 years. I have seen the decline of our youth across two generations now in real time, up close and personal, and among literally thousands of individual students. Many are now reading excerpts from the killer’s discord chats, social media posts, and text messages and are wondering what in the world his bizarre sub culture even is. A closer look reveals an extremely sad picture for the “raised by the internet” latch key kid generation in question.
Let’s talk about some general Gen Z and Gen Alpha phenomena that we should find concerning. Phenomena that apply to the vast majority of kids today, regardless of what ideology they skew. We will break up the specific political identity dichotomy crises between these kids, both conservative and liberal, soon.
Hopefully much of the following questions don’t hit too close to home: Have your kids been zoning out to videos of “Skibidi” or chuckling at ever evolving and never ending “Wojak memes”? Does your teenage son ever refuse to answer you simply because he is “on a mewing streak”? Does your teenage daughter watch hours of videos of young women applying make-up, even if she wears little to no make-up? Do your kids repetitively say the numbers “6,7” in succession, seemingly without any context? Are you or a loved one currently suffering from brainrot!??
If you watched a decent amount of television as a child, you probably remember at least one or two grown ups warning that “TV rots your brain!” There is a new expression kids use these days as an homage back to the same warning your parents gave you when you sat too close to the screen watching Saturday morning cartoons. They call it “brainrot”. Oxford just added it to their Dictionary in June of this year; “A perceived loss of intelligence or critical thinking skills, esp. (in later use) as attributed to the overconsumption of unchallenging or inane content or material. Now also: content or material that is perceived to have this effect. In recent use particularly associated with the overconsumption of such content posted online.” (https://www.oed.com/dictionary/brain-rot_n?tl=true)
If you still don’t quite understand this phenomenon, or its effects, watch the movie “Idiocracy”. It will tell you all you need to know. The brainrot is real and it’s corrupting our youth. Teenagers casually complain about suffering from brainrot, with an almost “ah shucks, what do you do about it?” sort of attitude. Ask a teenager if they are suffering from brainrot and they will most likely respond with something like, “Ah, for sure LOL! (that’s right they will literally say the letters “L”, “O”, and “L” out loud) I can’t stop watching ticktock, for real for real. Maybe like for 6 or 7 hours a day. My generation is cooked! LOL!”
Once I was just concerned about how accessible internet porn was for young people. Now I realize that porn is only a percentage of how they waste their time and brain cells with the internet. While Gen X’ers and Millennials were smitten by the antics of Bart Simpson, Generation Z and Generation Alpha have been swept away by Skibidi Toilet! At least Bart Simpson told his mother he loved her and went to church on Sundays. Who or what is Skibidi Toilet? What does he do? This popular cartoon character is literally a zombie who sticks his head out from a toilet and sings Russian songs while turning other humans into singing toilet zombies. Look it up. It’s viral, addictive content for many youngsters.
There are millions of “I-pad babies” around the country who have more daily interaction with such characters and similar “brainrot” content on a daily basis than they spend time with their parents. They are missing hours of authentic brain development and nourishment from on purpose human interaction with parents and siblings, instead watching hours of short videos on ticktock about singing toilet people, watching clips of classic movies altered by AI so that everyone is now farting on each other, or simply scrolling for hours without ever clicking on or watching anything. Some kids say they just can’t stand to be away from their phone’s glow. I can see how a zombie cartoon character has become so popular.
Teen suicide has been steadily increasing over the last 25 years. One out of five in Gen Z identifies as LGBTQ. The youth of this country are inundated with unholy messaging and are directed toward unnatural identities by the millions. But at the end of the day, they are still young people made in the image and likeness of God who more naturally, deep down, desire that which is true, good, and beautiful.
My intention in this article is not to disparage them. Instead, I would like to break down a more detailed synopsis of American young people as they occupy their specific corners of the political and moral landscape of this country. I believe that evangelizing to them is paramount to our nation’s success. By breaking down their nuances, whether they be on the left, right or in the “center”, we can gain more clues as to how to minister to each of them where they are at. I think Mr. Kirk was right to minister to them. They are our future. We would all like a good one.
Leftism and the Young: Whatever happened to “Tolerance?”
The young liberal has evolved drastically over the last 20 years. When I taught Moral Theology and Apologetics to High School kids in the late 2000’s, they were a completely different breed from what you get today. Liberal kids didn’t have rabbit holes to dive into on the internet to chronically affirm them (radicalize them) of their prejudices against all things conservative. They didn’t have hours of dubiously “educational” YouTube videos comparing the Nazi movement to the Republican agenda. They didn’t have 24 hour access to media feeds, and “next up” video algorithms to re-enforce everything they believe, while never showing them any content that may challenge their narratives. And finally, they didn’t have all the anxiety, fear, and hate that comes with years of playing in the virtual sandbox of social media, "shit memes", and mean girl chat threads.
So the young liberals were pretty simple: they didn’t like American military involvement in countries that ended in “stan”, they parroted Hilary Clinton’s “Abortion should be safe, legal, and rare” trope, and they bought wholesale dichotomies that framed democrats as helping poor people with social benefits while republicans believed in “trickle-down economics”. Green and purple hair were still very much fringe, and it was a reasonable expectation that one could have a relatively sincere and thoughtful dialogue with such people that stayed civil. You might expect a nasty remark or a clinched teeth scowl here or there, but you never thought the person debating across from you wanted you dead. In fact, they seemed to have enough sincere belief in their appeals to “love” that they knew such a desire would disprove their very selves and the principles they purported to stand upon. Go figure.
What exactly was that bed of principles they believed they stood upon? How were liberals so much different only 15 to 20 years ago?
The message that young liberals knew to preach, in what was then a far more conservative America, was that of “tolerance”. Granted, the liberal kids themselves weren’t actually up to any marketing mischief here, as most of them sincerely believed that just a little more acceptance of behaviors most disagreed with (such as homosexual behavior) would make for less strife, grief, and judgment in society. Unlike the brainrotten kids of today, who have a hard enough time just escaping their eyes from their phones for long enough to say an underwhelming “hello” to an adult, these kids were willing to engage, in person, with what came off as dialogical challenges against Catholic moral teaching and conservative values quite freely.
Liberal kids also had a sense that they must follow particular rules of debate, lest they clearly demonstrate themselves to be the default loser. These youngsters didn’t play a fair game perfectly, but at least they craved some rhetorical action and were willing to follow rules. They also came off as though they felt they were on some righteous mission to change the world. It was almost like they were adorably delusional kids with some sort of grandiose conviction that they would "put things right" to the tune of Phil Collin’s “Land of Confusion”, as opposed to coming off as triggered rage ghouls who just play identity politics and wish you were dead.
My Moral Theology curriculum was written with the understanding in mind that their arguments would typically center round the importance of this “tolerance” that they preached. I factored in the “tolerance” variable in lessons frequently, knowing darn well that they would always spam that appeal once all other arguments had failed.
Lessons established the principles behind natural moral law, proved the necessary objectivity of natural law prescriptions, demonstrated the necessity of certain moral absolutes, and then specifically disproved erroneous moral theories such as situational ethics, proportionalism, and most specifically, moral relativism.
As a young teacher who had so recently sat in their seat myself, and as an American child raised in a household where the children were taught to hold to objective standards and to fear God, I had already figured out that Moral Relativism, in particular, was the biggest moral philosophical threat to the very fabric of the West. Moral Relativism had already gotten it’s firm grip on America since at least the 60’s, and the ultimate destiny of a nation that says “we all should be allowed to do whatever we want, with whomever, and however” will end up killing itself with whatever, whomever, and however it wants.
Back then, I was able to have a profound impact on kids, simply by showing them the illogical conclusions of where Moral Relativism leads. And demonstrating such was seemingly just a logical exercise. Like a reductio ad absurdum. In addition to demonstrating the self-defeating nature of a moral rule that says there are no moral rules, I could get kids to acknowledge the ridiculousness our society would have to tolerate if there are no truly objective moral norms. Of course, kids back then didn't actually believe that society would get to the point where men would beat up on women in their sports leagues or that anyone would ever go around purporting that there are 55 genders. But most of them would at least grant that such things would be crazy, and we can’t endorse moral theories that even just intellectually lead to madness.
Yet, there were still the young liberals who couldn’t let go of social liberalism and relativism. Their “compassionate hearts” couldn’t give in. As many other conservatives throughout society simultaneously dispelled the appeals to tolerance during this era, young liberals everywhere began to pivot away from the "tolerance" appeal. And the more moral relativism propelled the left's engines within the culture war, the maxim that one must tolerate sins turned into a demand that we all must celebrate sins.
It’s as if a moment happened where the left realized that it was indeed irrational to be intolerant of intolerance, but instead of letting that realization stop them, they doubled down. They ironically said, “If I’m being intolerant in my quest for tolerance, then I should accept that I don’t actually want tolerance. Nevertheless, I shall continue to be intolerant… of everything ‘patriarchal’, Western, Christian, Capitalistic, and fundamentally American! I will embrace that I just hate these things and I will hate them very hard.”
Maybe it happened somewhere around the time so many of them got so very sick with Trump Derangement Syndrome, but at some point the appeals fully flipped from “tolerate gay marriage” to “celebrate a gay marriage on the birthday cake or you’re going to get sued and cancelled!” The cries to “keep abortion safe legal and rare” became “hashtag shout your abortion!” It’s only gotten worse and worse over the years, and the left has not looked back. In fact, now that we know that many leftists probably wish you were dead and would celebrate your murder with neurotic glee, it’s fair to say that it has now reached an entirely new level.
Is there any hope for such people?
Men Who Wish they had Chests
Let’s look at American youth on the right. They are far less troubled than their leftist counterparts, but they still suffer from the brainrot epidemic in their own ways, and they especially struggle to find both their voice and hope in the current age. They also need much help from real and wholesome American leaders right now. In fact, they yearn for it. There’s a popular quote from C.S. Lewis’ Abolition of Man that has made its rounds over the last several years when describing the dilemma young men face today: “We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst.” Even the children on the American right suffer from plenty of brainrot, porn-addiction, and from lack of ambition. Why should we be surprised? They have grown up in an environment where intemperance, idleness, and instant gratification are the norm. Sure, they know that the traditional family, Christian Ethos, and patriotism are all great things, but wanting to be a man and having the knowledge and willpower to be one are not the same thing. They want to be a “Chad”, but where is the Chad who will teach them? Where are the men who will teach them “virtue and enterprise?”
Young conservatives want a leader. They want to be pushed to greatness by someone. That’s what they loved about Charlie Kirk. They need someone to teach them the way. Even if that means teaching them to throw their brainrot and porn in the trash. They are willing to try, if you are up to showing them how to do so.
A strong number of kids these days have a TON of potential to be fine conservative, God fearing, country loving, apple pie eating, baseball loving American Grown-ups someday. Complete with families, kids, and houses with two car garages. When I talk to conservative kids in Generation Z, many of them put the millennials from 20 years ago to shame. But don’t be too harsh on the Millennials, please. After all, they didn’t have a Charlie Kirk when they were growing up to set them straight like kids these days have had! Yeah, that’s right, kids these days have no idea how good they got it. Now get off my lawn!
Have hope, because these kids are flocking back to traditional values more and more every day. Those on the right simply need models and teachers to show them how be real men and women. Those in the middle need a little more to get them over the hump, but they are still low hanging fruits.
The Turning Tide: The “middle”
Be hopeful. There is good evidence suggesting that there is a gradual conversion towards the right happening among the general public. This is particularly true among young males. When the Millennials were young, many of them were duped by “hope” and “change” messages while being told to “tolerate” others until the world finally became purged of the “patriarchy”, the Middle Eastern Industrial War Complex, and “the 1%”. It was a lot easier to accept the path the democrats took this country down throughout the Obama years, because the effects of their policies had not yet hit them in the face like a ton of bricks.
Gen Z kids aren’t as delusional as the Millennials were. Many of them are convinced that, as things currently stand, they are not on pace to own a home, start a family, or ever become as prosperous as their parents have been. And while today’s kids on the left have been brainwashed to confide in abortions, sexual perversions, socialism, and political violence as solutions, regular American kids actually understand that free enterprise, hard work, honor, virtue, and the traditional family are the keys to getting this nation back into a healthy and stable moral state where they can prosper both spiritually and materially.
More and more of these kids are pissed that it is getting harder and harder to start a family or buy a home. But they haven't given up hope just yet. Many are learning to exercise their freedoms, quit porn, learn thrift, and vote Republican, if that’s what must be done to have some hope at fulfilling natural manly desires such as owning a home and raising a family.
Again, have hope and observe some of the clues out there in the wild. It can be easy to shutter in horror and wonder when God will end it all when, for example, OF woman Bonnie Blue claimed earlier this year that she broke an all time record for most men slept with in a 12 hour span at 1,057. But as quickly as that became national internet news, the vast majority of young people, even the “normies” were willing to express their disgust in people claiming these sorts of feats. Just within the last few months I saw Theo Von, a man certainly not known for “Right-Wing-Christian viewpoints” host a podcast about the “Ugly side of Pornhub.” While porn consumption is quite high these days, support groups for young people interested in quitting porn and masturbation are continually growing in membership. These groups are full of many who would consider their motivation to be entirely unrelated to any sort of religious conviction, and many who do not identify as conservative. Instead, these people are simply exhausted of their addictions and their repercussions. The heart is willing, but the flesh is weak. If only their wills could be made stronger!
There is a growing culture of young people who understand the potential consequences of the ever shrinking birth rates in this country. Many young people do not want their country to turn into Japan; where instead of reproducing, too many youth are instead having sex with Anime style love dolls. A nation without families is a nation without children. A nation without children is a nation without future teachers, construction workers, healthcare workers, soldiers, firemen, etc… Such a nation is a nation with no future economy, and thus no future prosperity. Such a nation will not be a future nation.
The biggest obstacle at the moment, though, is that despite the turning tide, Gen Z isn’t actually fixing the problems that their generation faces. Despite the conversion of many young people to the right, the US birth rates only slightly increased in 2024 from a new historic low for our country. Gen Z isn’t fully convinced that the economy has recovered for them to have the confidence to boom those numbers back to a healthy level. Additionally, while their desire might be shifting right, they are creatures of habit who have been saddled by the consequences of these habits. They have a long way to go, which is where leaders on the right should be stepping in.
These young people are starting to wake up and desire to get out of this mess, but they aren’t yet equipped to do so. They need people to lead them out of this funk. This is why influencers like Jordan Peterson have a platform. This is why Turning Point USA is powerful enough that those not seeing the light find them “dangerous” and “triggering” enough to want them silenced. Our young people must be ministered to at this critical moment to seek what is true, good, and beautiful and shun that which is objectifying, sterile, and diabolic. Many of them have had enough, but that simply means, at this point, that they have potential to be saved and corrected. The alternative for them is to fall into despair and eventually escalate their desensitization while filling the human empathy void with rage and hate.
The Timeless Desires of Man
Even though many in Gen Z are converting to the right, let’s be real, much of the demographic still skews way left. And with each passing day, another boomer who either votes republican, or only skews moderately left, at worst, dies. If things don’t change, that’s a recipe for an eventual disaster. Could an AOC actually become president someday? It’s definitely not out of the realm of possibilities if we do nothing.
Remedying this situation is not as easy as just leading our conservative kids and hoping that there will be enough of them. In addition to doing our own part in creating new conservatives (that’s right, go make another baby), we have to keep working kids over to our side. Charlie believed in that, why shouldn’t we?
“Oh, but it’s hopeless,” you say. “These liberal kids are too far gone. They’re not worth our time.” While there certainly are people who may be too dangerous or too far gone to be reached without supernatural power that you and I probably do not possess, there are plenty of young people who are save-able. There are ghouls to be certain, but there are plenty of disinteresteds, “moderates,” and moderately liberals in that group too. At the end of the day, they are human persons. Human persons can and will respond to the basic yearnings of the human heart. It’s their human nature. Man does not naturally want to watch porn, play video games in his parents basement, share rage memes against the Trump administration, eat junk food, and live unemployed. That is not human nature. Sans the very extreme, every man can and will desire that which is naturally desirable to the human person. It’s how God has wired us.
Today’s young people can still be attracted to that which actually fulfills them, i.e. a home, a career, a family, and a life filled with grace. We must reach out to even those who consider themselves “liberal” (be prudent, don’t get into shouting matches with hard leftists in the street or online) and attempt to attract them to such goods. Their hearts can naturally be pulled to these things if good people act as fine examples for them as to how to live a virtuous and fulfilled life.
If we don’t try, if we let society continue to erode, become even more violently divided, and we tell the youth that they are on their own, there will continue to be an unchecked mob of socialists and straight up communists who will fill the void. If you think it’s bad now, wait until the only messages they hear as to how to overcome a poor economy, joblessness, a housing crisis, and the take over of AI in the workforce are from Marxists and revolutionaries. We must lead and reach as many youth as we can.
And even when it comes to your own kids, don’t just assume that because you tell your kids that we must Make America Great Again, fill them with Patriotic messaging, and take them to church on Sundays, that your kids will turn out fine in this current culture. Imagine how the parents of Charlie’s killer must feel at this moment. The killer’s texts have revealed that he was upset that his dad had "gone super Maga” in recent years. There is a chilling screenshot going around the internet right now of an Instagram post the killer’s mother made on Christmas day of 2013. It includes a picture of the then 10 year old boy glued to his computer screen, wearing a headset, with a caption written by his mother lamenting that they wouldn’t be seeing much of their son anymore now that they bought him all of the computer accessories he wanted for Christmas.
A Maga household that lets their children be raised by creeps on discord, twitch, and reddit, is a household with liberal kids at best and furries who want real men dead at worst. Heed that warning!!! If you are ultra-conservative but your kids are internet addicts, that’s not good enough. Not even close. If I can drive home one imperative with this article, it’s that we all need to take this moment as a golden opportunity to redirect our own kids toward that which is true, good, beautiful, and uplifting, and away from that which poisons their souls. Do you really know what your kids are doing for hours and hours everyday on the internet? If you don’t, now is the time to find out and fix it!
Father, Forgive them. They Know not what they do
There's a phrase I heard some sports fans use once to defend their team against "haters" when that team was in the middle of a dynasty; “They hate us cuz they ain’t us.” When I see the vitriol and obscene contempt expressed by so many radical leftists, I think of that quip. And I don’t mean that to be a slam. Ironically, I appeal to that quip in order to invoke your empathy when you see these miserable people celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. They have been systematically radicalized. They are trapped in a dark pit of despair. Many of them have daddy issues, many have been abused for years by public school educators, and many of them simply have no idea how fulfilling it is to seek the truth. They know hatred because it’s the only thing they have been taught to fill the void. If that’s not pitiable, then I don’t know what is.
They are mad because we keep winning and they keep losing. They know, deep under the wounds that they are buried under, that regular church going Americans who believe in simply being good and productive citizens, who cherish their freedom, are significantly happier than they are. Think of the woman who rolls down her window and shouts at you while flipping you the bird as you peacefully pray for the souls of everyone in the abortion clinic behind you. Of course the first question that comes into your head is “I wonder when she had her abortion?”
That soul is suffering under the weight of her guilt. With immense cognitive dissonance, she acts in hope that cursing you and clinging to whatever people will tell her that she has done nothing wrong will relieve her of the guilt that she buries deep down. Simply acknowledging that you are just another human being with different views means she has to accept the truth of her choice and all the heartache that goes with it. Coming to the side of healing means first accepting reality, which is a painful first step. So she chooses the quick and intoxicating rush of curses and hate. Reality, healing, and happiness are crushed, and you are collateral damage.
Are you surprised by the number of ticktock shorts of unhappy and unkempt people laughing maniacally at the death of a man whose larger message was simply to engage in dialogue and be courageous enough to merely exercise your freedom of speech? Are you shocked at how many misquotes, twists, and out of context samples have been spewed in order to frame Charlie Kirk as a "bigot"? Why should you be? These are people who hashtag shouted their abortions just a few years ago. If they celebrate the killing of innocent babies, why wouldn’t they celebrate the murder of a decent Christian man whom they couldn’t beat at his game of simple dialogue.
Do not be scandalized, you should be beyond that at this point. You should have expected exactly this. Do not shrink from it either. There is good to be had that they are bringing their nastiness to the light and not hiding it in the darkness ; those “on the fence” or whose scales have not yet fallen from their eyes need to see it. And we must use it to stay sober and keep moving.
How do we honor the memory of Charlie Kirk?
We all felt a number of emotions when we learned of Charlie Kirk’s murder. I have heard so many say that in addition to the sadness they felt for him and his family, they have felt angry. Righteous anger is understandable. Injustice naturally makes us angry as human beings. What we cannot do, though, is allow for that anger to become violent anger. Charlie wouldn’t want it that way. If I truly want to honor a man whose mission was to peacefully engage in dialogue, as to avert violence, then the best way to honor his memory is to go out and evangelize for Christ and to spread the wealth of being a happy, fulfilled, and free person to those whom God has put in our lives.
I think this especially applies for how we should reach out to the young people. Young people are so hungry for the truth right now. That’s why Charlie made a point to meet them where they are. He did so in order to give courage to those with conservative views who felt they had to self-censor, he did that to call young men and women to dream big in America and embrace starting a traditional family, and he did that in order to convert those lost souls who need reconciliation and ultimately the happiness that they are so clearly lacking.
As strange as this may sound, the assassination of Mr. Kirk has fully validated my hope that the tide is turning and we are clearly winning now. I have made a point to proceed with caution and to curb my enthusiasm over the last year. It was euphoric to be relieved of a potential Harris presidency. The last several months have not been perfect under the current administration, but I cannot keep embracing stubbornness and cynicism when the left continues to declare, through their actions, that they are so unhappy with how much we are winning. They couldn’t beat Donald Trump in 2020 so they stole the election. Our cause was winning. Then they they tried to jail the man. He won back the presidency in 2024. They couldn’t beat Charlie Kirk in an argument, so one of them killed him and many celebrated. Clearly they are mad because we are winning. We are winners. We must embrace that and we must firmly put ourselves on that side so that we can keep winning. Keep winning hearts, keep winning minds, and keep winning souls for Christ.
Please join me in doing the little things we can to build up and evangelize to these young people. I, nor you, nor anyone can fill the void that Charlie Kirk has left. Do not underestimate the impact he has had on millions of young people in this country. Don’t underestimate the number of youth with whom he planted a seed that has made a significant change in their lives, even among the angry young college liberals who contemptuously debated him.
We all personally know some young people who need this kind of evangelization. We all have children, nephews, nieces, or students we can have spiritually and intellectually stimulating conversations with. We all have young people who watch us closely in hopes that we may model virtue and the happiness that comes with it to them, so as to lead them to the same. We can all collect some wins right now if we just make the little sacrifices to reach out. One of my dear friends hosted a private youth group at his home this past summer where for several weeks parents brought their children to listen to lectures on modern miracles and modern saints. No one asked him to. He felt the calling, and the kids who attended were enriched. You have some capacity to lead either your own kids or others and to help them be holy, prosperous, and patriotic citizens. Lead the rosary with your family tonight. Coach your kid’s little league and consistently demand excellence from the kids. Heck, just make a point to tell the next kids you see working hard at your favorite fast food joint that you admire how hard they work and remind them to strive for excellence and to reach for the American dream.
Find your own niche, make a plan, and help fill in that void. The kids need it. America needs it. You can do it. Greatness awaits. Let’s be winners and move forward together. Charlie would have wanted it that way.
